How one dresses, interviews, delivers an elevator pitch, talks, negotiates, delivers a presentation are all part of the equation. This certificate program gives students the confidence and tools to look, talk and present as a top hospitality professional.

Topics include: professional development and continuous improvement; self-possession; resume writing and interviewing skills; public speaking; the language of hospitality; selling your brand; and professionalism that is essential for a career in the hospitality industry.

High school diploma or High School Equivalency

No work experience necessary

Learning Formats

Twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-7:50pm.

45 hours, 4.5 quarter credits, 4.5 CEU

Interactive online learning. Students will begin their course alongside a cohort of fellow online students who will share the learning experience through discussion forums. Study at your own pace within the schedule provided under the guidance of a dedicated online instructor. The curriculum is divided into easily navigable modules, each containing lectures, quizzes, assignments and supplemental reading materials in addition to textbook learning.
